The hotel had a charming and cozy atmosphere, with beautiful traditional Swiss decor. The common areas were tastefully decorated and provided a comfortable place to relax. As a senior woman, I appreciated the accessibility of the hotel, with elevators available to reach all floors and well-lit hallways for easy navigation.
I would have appreciated more assistance from the staff in accommodating the needs of senior guests. The children working there seemed busy and not as attentive to the specific concerns of older guests.

I had a fantastic stay at a hotel in a picturesque town surrounded by breathtaking mountains. The central location allowed for easy access to restaurants and stunning lake views. The spacious room had plenty of storage and comfortable beds. The friendly staff provided professional attentive service. Included breakfast was excellent with fresh fruit and locally made yogurt. Waking up to the sunrise spread across the magnificent snow-capped mountains from my room's balcony was surreal. The hotel had a computer in the common area for guest use and efficient heating throughout the room.
The Wi-Fi connectivity was spotty, which made checking email and business-related tasks frustrating at times.

The staff were efficient and friendly. Wonderful view from my room, and the food was excellent. Even though it wasn't too far away from the railway station, it was peaceful.

During our Easter vacation, we stayed in a hotel and we were pleased with the two freebies provided: a nice breakfast and a shuttle service. We found the location to be convenient since it was within walking distance to shops and restaurants. we enjoyed the stunning views of the surrounding area from our comfortable room.
We felt the customer service could have been better. The staff at the front desk didn't seem very friendly or welcoming, which was a bit off-putting.

I liked the large balcony and view from my room.
I did not like the fact that the duvet was synthetic (very unusual - no down!) and that the reading light for the bed was a built in fluorescent light above the bed, which was a harsh light and made an irritating buzzing noise. Also - this is just a matter of taste - though the room has obviously been renovated and is very clean, it is a bit sterile, with modern bult-in cupboards and bed, new (faux?) wood floor and none of the charm of an old country chalet-style small hotel. Lastly, fairly limited breakfast selection.

Cute, charming and quiet alpine hotel. Alpine design. Big and nice room with beautiful mountain view. Rich and excellent breakfast. Good evening restaurant. Good location near citybus stop and ten minutes walk from the railway station. Friendly staff.
Nothing. All is good.

We had a fantastic stay at Blumlisalp! The hotel is conveniently located just a short walk from the train station and the cable cars to Oeschinensee. The staff were friendly and the room was clean and comfortable, with a balcony and separate TV room. The highlight for us was the restaurant, where we enjoyed delicious meals, including a fantastic Wilderer Salad. The hotel also offers a sauna, which was a great way to relax after a day of exploring. Blumlisalp is a gem in the beautiful town.
Don't have any issues at all 😊

For a three star hotel the towels were hostel grade at best. They were very old and extremely uncomfortable to use (scratchy). The room also had no decor to speak of. An empty room with some furniture added. Depressing. The food at the restaurant was delicious but was matched by the prices. 40 chf for a 4 oz filet?

Was excellent, a most enjoyable hotel, good food, central to all facilities, and even better than the last time I was there, 36 years ago

This hotel is a hidden gem! The staff are so friendly and helpful. The beds are comfortable and the balcony view of the mountains is stunning. The location is perfect, right in the center of town with easy access to everything. The breakfast has a great selection including what looks like homemade jams. From the reviews I've read, the food at this hotel is exceptional and worth trying.
No major issues, everything was great!

The hotel had a charming and cozy décor, with traditional Swiss touches and beautiful furnishings. It felt very welcoming and comfortable, especially for seniors like myself. The common areas were well-maintained and provided a warm and inviting atmosphere. Additionally, the hotel's location was easily accessible, making it convenient for seniors to explore the surrounding area without any major obstacles.
I would have appreciated if the children working there had been a bit more attentive to the specific needs of seniors, such as offering assistance with luggage or providing clearer directions around the hotel.

The family room was well situated
The staff was largely surly The greeting at check-in was unfriendly. When the clock radio couldn't be set and we called for a wake up call the clerk gave us an argument for asking for a wake-up call wnen er had a clock radio in the room.

Blumlisalp Kandersteg is an excellent value for money. The hotel offers spacious rooms with comfortable beds and a nice balcony with spectacular views of the mountains. The attention to detail is evident in the well-equipped rooms, including amenities like a desk with brochures and a children's activity book. The breakfast is outstanding, with fresh and impressive options, including the owner's delicious homemade jam. The staff are friendly, helpful, and speak very good English.
Everything was more than ok, nothing to improve!
